What is the most popular graphics card among players?

Of course, NVIDIA at the top.

Steam statistics often tell us various interesting things about players. We can find out what system they use, what components they have in their computers ā€¦ And today we will look at components, and more specifically graphics cards (but not only!). What card beats popularity records among PCs?

Of course, NVIDIA is at the top of the rankings. It dominates the entire table. 75.02% of players use green chips. AMD was in second place with 14.68%. The last podium place is Intel integrated graphics, which is used by 10.15% of Steam players. What is the most-used graphics card? GeForce GTX 1060 – this card is used by 15.88% of players, and its popularity is still growing (increase from last month is 1 percentage point).

In second place is the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, followed by GTX 1050 with the last result over 5%.

The first AMD chip in the list is the Radeon RX 580, which is located in 0.94% of players. Behind him is Radeon R7, which has a significant drop (0.29%) and is currently located on 0.86% of machines.

In front of the “Radeon” graphics cards, however, there is Intel HD Graphics 4000, which has poor performance – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the highest details after running on this GPU will probably end with a slide show.

GeForce RTX cards are also gaining popularity. The latest NVIDIA cards are slowly taking their places in more and more computers for players. The RTX 2070 is among the components for 0.50% of the machines. RTX 2080 can boast a result of 0.40%, and RTX 2080 Ti – 0.21%. The most expensive RTX model, however, continues to be popular with the AMD Radeon RX Vega family – its result is 0.19%.

And what about the rest of the results? When it comes to processors, Intel’s circuits dominate (82.39%) with a small share of AMD (17.61%), and most players (56.16%) use quad-core CPUs.

Windows 10 is still gaining popularity at the expense of other systems.

In February, the average computer used by a Steam player consists of 8GB of RAM, Intel quad-core processor with 3.3-3.69 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 2GB VRAM graphics card, 1920×1080 screen resolution. In addition, it has a microphone, uses English, and has from 250 to 499GB of free disk space, which has more than 1TB of total memory.
