In the last update Microsoft Edge Dev a special extension menu has appeared that gives you an overview of all installed extensions directly from the toolbar. However, the new feature only works in the Dev version and is not enabled by default. At this point some of you are already opening EDGE: // flagsto activate the appropriate experimental option. Not so fast! Unfortunately, this option will not be found here and to enable it, you need to do something else. To do this, we must do the following:
- Create a Microsoft Edge Dev shortcut on your desktop. You can do this by dragging the application from the Start menu to the desktop.
- Then open properties this shortcut by right clicking and selecting the last option from the context menu.
- The next step is to edit the field content Final component by pasting the following location with attributes at its end:
"C: Program Files (x86) Microsoft Edge Dev Application msedge.exe" –enable-features = ExtensionsToolbarMenu
- We confirm the changes by clicking OKAY. Now you need to restart the browser, and after its restart we will see in the tool menu a new extension icon.
Importantly, this option will only be visible if you launch the browser from a modified shortcut. It is not entirely comfortable, but this is the nature of the test functions. In the final version, this function, if it is kept, will be more easily available.
