We live in a time of many antagonisms in which Western societies are exceptionally divided. Corporations, theoretically apolitical, try to fight for the client by declaring their views on many political and social topics. As a rule, this means a left turn, where the largest group of potential customers lies. However, there are companies such as Microsoft, which has been consistently trying to maintain its position in the so-called center for many years. Moderation and temperance in this matter is dictated mostly by the wide scope of cooperation with governmental institutions.
Leftist environments strongly criticize the Donald Trump administration, pointing, among others, to its anti-immigration policy. One area of this criticism is the ICE camps where illegal immigrants are placed. Microsoft's neutrality in this matter apparently could no longer be accepted and dissatisfaction with this fact has just been expressed quite loudly.
⭕️ New Yorkers just SHUT DOWN the @Microsoft store in Manhattan, demanding the corporation cancel their $ 19.4 million contract with ICE.

Opponents mentioned above Trump's approach to illegal immigrants, organized around the "Close the Camps NYC" initiative, gathered at the Microsoft Store in New York to "peacefully" protest Microsoft's silence in this matter, as well as its collaboration with the ICE services. 76 protesters were arrested, which does not change the fact that the store had to be closed. The giant officially thanked NYPD for help and announced that the store will be reopened soon.
