As usual, Microsoft has released a new version Windows 10 SDK development tools. This time it is the version with the number 18980, i.e. compatible with the latest version of Windows 10 20H1, shared on September 11 in the Quick Circle update for Windows Insider. The list of changes, in addition to minor API amendments, also includes tools, including Messeger Compiler (mc.exe). TraceLoggingProvider.h and Windows Trace Preprocessor (tracewpp.exe). Detailed information about the changes can be found at Windows blog.
As with any SDK Preview build, you can use this version in a production environment with the stable version of the Windows 10 SDK and we can continue to upload applications to the Store, as long as they are designed for Windows 10 version 1903 or earlier. However, you must join Insider and use Windows 10 test builds. You'll also need to use Visual Studio 2017 or later. The 18980 version of the Windows 10 SDK can be downloaded directly from Microsoft website.
In addition to the new toolkit, Microsoft has today released a preview version Windows Admin Center Preview 1909. This version introduces minor improvements for Azure, Packetmon virtual machines, as well as some visual changes.
