Dona Sarkar leaves Windows Insider. Who will be the new boss?

Dona Sarkar she has been managing Windows Insider for the past few years and is now parting from it to deal with other issues at Microsoft. We'll find out what position he will take and what fate awaits the Windows implicit testing program. Let's start from the beginning.

The Windows Insider Program was launched in September 2014 and its first boss was Gabe Aul. Less than a year later, he became simultaneously responsible for systems engineering and it was difficult for him to reconcile so many responsibilities. In June 2016 he stepped down and resigned big red button to approve new builds for Dona Sarkar. Three years later, Gabriel Aul moved to Facebook.

Dona Sarkar has been working at Microsoft for 14 years. It managed the development of the most essential functions of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, such as Start Menu, File Explorer, Open / Save or backup and restore. After over 3 years of command of the Windows Insider program, he joins the Developer Relations team, and the name of her new position is Head of Advocacy for Power Platform. As she says, the new role will focus primarily on the Power Platform (Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, Power BI), and adds that anyone can become a developer in 5 minutes without writing code – you can do it with PowerApps.

Almost 3.5 years of management Dony Sarkar mentions Microsoft on the Windows Experience blog:

Under Dona's leadership, Windows Insider has grown and expanded to hundreds of new cities and rural areas around the world. Dona's passion to help others learn code and build a business fits her new role perfectly. I appreciate everything she did for the program and wish her luck in her new adventure.

We are currently in search of a new leader of the Windows Insider Program. In the meantime, me and the Insider crew (including Brandon, Jennifer, Blair, Jason, Vivek, Eddie) are looking forward to continuing to engage you every week, delivering new compilations. And, as we've done since the beginning of our program, we will continue to evolve to best meet the needs of this fantastic community.

The search for a new leader continues. It is not yet known who the knocker will be every week in big red buttonbut it is certain that Dona Sarkar left Windows implicit testing program in great condition and there is no indication that it would change. There's been a lot going on in the program lately. The Insider community of millions is testing two major versions of Windows 10 – 19H2 and 20H1.
