Microsoft released the calculator application in Windows 10 some time ago, making it available on the GitHub platform as an open source. In this way he wanted to get a broader perspective and fresh ideas. Managed to. ABOUT influx of new functions we have already written in March and July. Today, in turn, leaked materials that show subsequent changes – both within the Calculator interface and its icon.
As you can see in the animation below, the scientific layout of the Calculator has become much clearer thanks to the minimalist design. This became possible thanks to two new menus: Trigonometry and Function. These expanded sections contain – as the names themselves indicate – trigonometric and other functions.

Everything indicates that these new products are still at the development stage and it may take a few days (or maybe weeks) before they reach the pre-release version of Windows 10 20H1. In addition, a new Calculator icon is being prepared that corresponds with others icons designed for Windows 10X. This may indicate that this style will also go to desktop.
The calculator has been open to contributions for over half a year. This means that you can not only adapt its code in your own applications, but also participate in its development. The project works on a "clone-and-go" basis and its development is in line with standard practices at GitHub. You can read more about this in the article Windows Calculator now as open source! Source code available in GitHub.
